A Complete Guide to Managing Your Sellers
A Guide to Managing Your Sellers
This guide provides a complete overview of the seller management workflow within ShopDot. It covers how to view your sellers, manage their permissions, and review the specific products they have listed on their storefronts.
The Default Seller Relationship
Within the ShopDot platform, you have complete control over the distribution of your products. By default, all ShopDot Sellers are able to add your 'Published' products to their online storefronts, making them available for purchase by their customers. This permission can be modified at any time on a per-seller basis.
- Please Note: You will receive an automated email notification the first time a new seller publishes one of your products on their storefront.
1. Navigating the Sellers Tab
The Sellers tab is your central hub for monitoring and managing all retailers who have listed your products. To begin, navigate to the Sellers tab from the main menu. Here, you will find a comprehensive list of every seller who has published at least one of your products.
The following table provides a detailed explanation of each column in the Seller Listing view:

Name | The business name of the seller. |
Status | Indicates the seller's ability to list your products. Active means they can sell your products; Disabled means they cannot. |
Business Type | The type of retail business (e.g., Online, Brick & Mortar). |
Email Address | The primary contact email for the seller. |
Product Count | The total number of your products the seller currently has published on their storefront. |
First Listed | The date on which the seller first published one of your products. |
2. Managing Seller Permissions (Activate & Disable)
You have the ability to revoke a seller's permission to list your products.
To Disable a Seller:
- Locate the Seller you wish to disable in the 'All' or 'Active' tab.
- Click the check box next to the Seller's name.

To Activate a Seller:
If you have previously disabled a seller, you can reactivate them at any time.
- Navigate to the 'Disabled' tab to locate the seller.
- Click the check box next to the Seller's name.
- Click 'Edit Status' and select 'Activate'. The seller will be moved to the 'Active' tab and will regain the ability to publish your products.
3. Viewing a Seller's Profile
To gain more insight into a specific Seller, you can view their detailed profile. From the main Seller list, click into a Seller's profile
The profile page contains the following information:
- About the seller
- Email Address
- Year Joined ShopDot
- Location

From this page, you can also click 'View Store' to see their ShopDot online storefront, or click 'Listed Products' to see a detailed list of which of your products they have published.
4. Reviewing a Seller's Listed Products
When you view a seller's 'Listed Products,' you will see a table that provides specific details about the items they have chosen to sell.
The table below defines each column in the 'Listed Products' view:
