How do I manage products in bulk?
ShopDot has provided bulk actions to make it easier for brands to manage multiple products all at the same time.
Here are the steps in managing your products in bulk.
1. Go to Products.
2. Select the products you want to manage by either clicking on the upper checkbox from the table, or click on Select all items from the dropdown menu on the upper checkbox.
3. Options for bulk actions will be displayed under Choose Action:
| Activate | This will set your selected products to active. Only those products with completed mandatory information can be set to active |
| Inactivate | This will set your selected products to inactive. Retailers do not have access to these products |
| Sync with eCommerce Store | This will sync any changes or updates to these products that were made in your eCommerce store. |
| Delete | This will delete your selected products from your Product Listing |
| Edit Categories | This will set the main category, sub category and group to your selected products |
| Add Tags | This will set the tags to your selected products. If a product already has an existing tag, then the tags added in bulk will be appended to the existing tags of that product |
Download All Products
You have the ability to edit product fields by downloading all products in your Product Listing, editing via an excel spreadsheet, and then uploading.
How to download and upload products:
- Click on the download products icon next to the search bar under the Products tab
- You will be sent an Excel email file of your products.
- Open the Excel and edit the product fields in which you want to change
- Please do not add additional rows or columns when editing your products
- Please note that some fields can only be edited directly on the ShopDot interface. Here are the fields you can edit using the Download All Products method:
- Product Title
- Days to Fulfill
- Tags
- MSRP
- Allow Products
- To upload your edited Products into ShopDot, click on the upload products icon next to the search bar under the Products tab
- Drag and drop your file or Browse your edited file generated from ShopDot.
